Juneau has a very active and busy waterfront strung out along the city.
From fishing boats to cruise ships to private yachts to sea planes, there is always someting going on.
Our Princess cruise ships usually dock at the south end of the city and a wooden pedestrian pier runs along the shore.
On the left are the working ships, and on the right are gift shops and restaurants.
Along the way is a fisherman's memorial.

The 20 ft tall led lit sculptures are called "Aquileans" by artist Cliff Garten.

What first appears to be a torch standard turns out to be a rain generated "bell."
Water collects in the bowl, runs out the bottom into a hollow tube on a pivot.
As the tube fills, the weight of the water tips the tube down and empties the water.
The tube then rotates back and stikes a larger horizontal tube which produces a "gong".
